Head of Sox & Internal Controls - General Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To: 

  • Lead the company's Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) function and be responsible for the scoping, training, testing and reporting for the company's SOX compliance.

  • Coordinate with process and control owners, external and internal auditors and advisory partners on various matters including planning activities, walkthrough participation, evidence requests, information sharing, and status updates

  • Partner with the business to ensure SOX documentation, including flowcharts, narratives, and controls are up to date, accurate and properly handled

  • Collaborate with functional teams for compliance to outlined processes and ensure that all key controls are being performed satisfactorily

  • Build and Recommend improvements to process, controls and/or test programs to improve process efficiency/effectiveness and/or control environment

  • Works across global and regional groups to communicate matters effectively to senior business management. Leverages control & compliance techniques to achieve business objectives.

  • Lead and perform research documenting SOX issues and track remediation to conclusion

  • Review findings from audits and facilitate the remediation plans

  • Track and report overall SOX assessment status for reporting to senior management

  • Communicate required changes to all process owners as needed, and assist with ongoing training activities including providing training to the controls owners/function leaders in areas of controls, policies and procedures and SOX compliance

Lead Buyer Transversal CAPEX

Main accountabilities

  • Lead development and implementation of the procurement strategy in the project team and assign priorities to sourcing projects

  • Collect and challenge business needs with internal customers (Lead Users), Engineering, maintenance and share the information with Category/Sub-category Management 

  • Define customer satisfaction KPIs and identify satisfaction issues; Ensure the execution of improvement actions 

  • Be accountable for realizing supplier performance optimization

  • Manage compliance for the category 

  • Accountable for optimization actions 

  • Participate in cross-functional teams and validates region specific PO decisions with Lead Users 

  • Responsible for strategic sourcing for categories with focus on TCO optimization.  Deliver savings and subcategory / hub KPI targets

  • Responsible for regional supplier consolidation and interaction (information exchange with other Lead Buyers in the Hubs)

  • Defines purchasing strategy per project together with Project Manager

  • Defines supplier segment strategy

  • Implements customer satisfaction improvement actions and acts or delegates KA function 

  • Oversees contract optimization actions

  • Defines supplier performance improvement actions

  • Prepares and follows up reporting and key matrices

  • Ensures business continuity in the project team during Procurement Transformation

  • Achieves effective procurement and business continuity by cooperation with Lead Users and HO Sub-Category across sites

  • Participates (or delegates) in transversal working groups in a hub focused on back-office process standardization, and establishment of procedures / compliance

  • Delivers purchasing input for (IAC) projects in cooperation with PM

  • Keeps/coordinates necessary exchange/cooperation with AMCG

  • Accountable for optimal contracts per project to ensure the project goals and defend AM rights

  • Coordinates/leads big negotiations

  • Participation in several calls in order to exchange information and support the above-mentioned goals

Areas of accountability

HR process management

  • Manage the processes in HR for her/his perimeter.

  • Develop, based on external best practices, improvement suggestions for the HR processes currently in use.

  • Seek close coordination with Local HR network (local HR teams in clusters where most of the employees are based, HRSSC Luxembourg,).

  • Manage and further detail out the career path for procurement.

  • Develop relationships with business stakeholders and drive HR initiatives that deliver key business objectives, consistently providing proactive consultancy support to ensure compliance with legislation and business needs.

Performance Management

  • Drive the Performance Management (GEDP) cycle and its consequences within the area of accountability

  • Execute and interpret talent assessments

Communication

  • Ability and perseverance to independently discuss with Managers of ArcelorMittal, to defend the position of the function.

Buyer Ferro Alloys & Base Metals

Main responsibilities are:

  • Ensure safety of supply, of the right products and in the right time, through contractual commitments (volumes and flexibility) and proper contract management with suppliers.

  • Management of dedicated suppliers portfolio (negotiation, contracting, deployment, assessment) in accordance with AMS business and validation rules, legal constrains and Sox compliances rules.

  • Manage close coordination, formalized communication and collaborative relationships with stakeholders (Users’ plants, Business divisions, Overseas’ Segments …)

  • Leverage group buying power and promote transversal best practices to generate savings.

  • Organize and deliver on monthly base an objective measurement of Buying Performances (TPP / PMG) according to AMS defined standards.

  • Focus on TCO optimization for finishing perimeter, according to final users objectives and involving all possible stakeholders (internal and external -> CTO, R&D, Suppliers, …).

Solutions Design Engineer , Operations Engineering

Key job responsibilities
• Own the design and development of engineering solutions for complex material handling challenges considering human/equipment interactions for the EMEA fulfillment network
• Lead and coordinate concept and design development efforts for optimal solutions for the EMEA fulfillment network through equipment specification, material flow, process design, ergonomics, associate experience, operational considerations and site layout
• Work closely with vendors, suppliers and other teams to create innovative solutions

Technical Infrastructure Program Manager, Building Management System, Global Sustainability & Energy

• Develop, execute, and manage programs focused on the implementation of sustainable HVAC and mechanical system solutions across different business units.
